Work with a licensed facilitator

Karin Calde, Ph.D., is a licensed psilocybin facilitator in Oregon specializing in personal and relationship growth for adults in midlife and beyond. She blends evidence-based psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-sensitive preparation and integration to support individuals and couples seeking emotional clarity, deeper connection, and meaningful life transitions. Karin’s work focuses on how psilocybin can help people understand their relational patterns, heal longstanding emotional wounds, and reconnect with themselves and the people they love. She is known for her grounded, compassionate approach and her expertise in midlife relationships, attachment dynamics, and psilocybin-assisted insight.

Psilocybin and relationship coaching

Did you know? You can pair your psilocybin journey with coaching to take your experience the extra mile. Some clients benefit from more preparation for their journey. I also work with clients after their journey to help them incorporate revelations and insights into their lives to bring about lasting change.

Is psilocybin right for you?

The benefits from plant medicine are vast, but here is a list of common reasons people seek out a psilocybin experience that overlaps with my training and expertise. Reach out to me if you are a woman or part of a couple between the ages of 45-70 and you:

What to expect

STEP 1: Free consultation zoom call

The first step to starting your psilocybin experience is to book a free consultation with me. During this Zoom call, we’ll get to know each other so we can determine if we’re a good fit; a good rapport with your facilitator has been shown to be the most important element of your experience. During this call I’ll ask you some questions to better understand your motivations, experience, and possible risk factors. You’ll also have the opportunity to me your questions. If you’re not sure what your questions are, that’s okay, too. We’ll have more opportunities to talk.

STEP 2: Preparation session #1

If we both decide this is a good match and you’d like to proceed, we’ll schedule a preparation session. This can last up to two hours. During this appointment we’ll go more in depth about what you want to get out of this experience, your health history, and anything else that’s relevant. I’ll give you more information about what to expect and we’ll talk a lot about creating safety. We’ll review paperwork. This is the time when we’ll schedule the rest of our sessions together, including your administration day and integration session.

STEP 3: Preparation session #2

During our next appointment we’ll talk about your psilocybin dose, plus cover anything we didn’t get the chance to discuss during our previous appointment. I’ll walk you through what will happen during your psilocybin administration day.

STEP 4: Psilocybin administration day

This is your psilocybin administration day. We’ll meet at the service center in the morning and I’ll spend the day with you. Most people arrive at around 9:30am and are ready to go home by 4:00pm. Having a transportation plan is something we’ll discuss during preparation.

STEP 5: Integration session

The importance of this day cannot be overstated. No matter what your psilocybin experience was like, integrating what happened so that you can bring what you learned into your daily life is a crucial part of the process. During this appointment I’ll offer other resources and we’ll talk about next steps for you.

My personal psilocybin journey

I was in my late 40s when I had my first psilocybin experience. While I was really nervous that first time, I had a beautiful journey that made me feel connected to and supported by everything and everyone in the universe. I was at the beginning of a divorce and it helped anchor me during that time; my experience served as a reminder that everything was going to be okay.

Schedule your free consultation

Psilocybin is not for everyone, but it might be right for you. Only you can ultimately make that decision. I will never push you or try to convince you to have a psilocybin session. Let me know if you’d like to chat so I can offer you information about what a psilocybin experience in Oregon is like and so we can determine whether or not we’re a good fit for one another.
